Dear friends,We are a young group from Edirne – Turkey.

intend to apply for action 1.1 project at 1 February 2009 dead-line and we need
a partner for our project.1. Topic of the PROJECT : Bore the Borders
Date:20.05.09 - 20.08.09
Venue: Edirne,Istanbul,Canakkale/ Turkey and partner country
Number of participants: 20 participants +4 leader / per countryGoal:
· Knowing the history of different countries
· Knowing and presenting own country’s forgotten heros who are not
mentioned and known well
· Enabling the students to learn and respect other nations’ history
· Having the taste of living together peacefully
· Knowing other partners’ views about other nations and breaking down
the prejudice, stereotypes
Knowing the folk and traditional dances
Activities:
Each group is supposed to focus on their heros and the forgotten people in the
history. The groups will also have the chance to work on any other country’s
values. Then the groups will make presentations to each other group and will
share what they feel. The groups will be taken to different historical places
during the visit.
If you have any supportive ideas we will be happy if you share it to improve our
project together. We will also organize
*Meeting and greeting party
*Visiting historical places and museums(in our city Edirne, Istanbul(Bosphorus,
Blue Mosque..), Canakkale(Troy City..) we have a lot of historical places the
other name of our city is city of prophets)
*Outdoor / indoor activities
*Seminars about our project and aims
*Brainstorming activity
*Workshops for photographs
*Workshops about traditional handcrafts(fruit soap, groom with mirror,
marbling,…etc.)
* A celebration party in the garden
* Dance shows together
* Playing the games ( English scrabble, twist .. etc. )
* Concerts
* Kareoke nights
* Graffiti art, wall painting
